Return of PUBG mobile to India

PUBG Mobile being banned in India sent shockwaves across the Indian gaming ecosystem, with many streamers, players, and content creators claiming this to the end of the esports in India. PUBG Mobile relied heavily on the Indian market in terms of finances as well as userbase. Through this ban, both have effectively taken a hit.

Hence, considering the recent ban PUBG Corporation has made the decision of not associating with Tencent Games to publish the game in India, thus breaking a fruitful partnership just so that PUBG would be able to re-enter the Indian market.

This step could potentially work in PUBG Mobile’s favor due to it being an intellectual property owned and published by PUBG Corporation which is a South Korean based gaming developer.

Active steps are being taken by the necessary people to ensure that India’s biggest mobile game makes a calculated return and thus also ensuring that the esports scene that was heavily reliant on PUBG Mobile will continue to thrive and hopefully bring India on the map of global Esports.
